Mike and Amanda’s wedding was so much fun! I met up with Amanda and her wonderful ladies the morning of the wedding at La Bellasera in Paso Robles to shoot details and getting ready images. The light in the rooms was great for photography, the details were gorgeous and everyone had a great time. We then headed over for the wedding at Santa Margarita Ranch which was a bit windy early on but the light was great. There was a lot of events packed into the evening so we had to rush through our bride and groom session but I think you’ll agree that Amanda and Mike look amazing and the light was just perfect!

Busy month! Funny how every season in this line of work is so different. In the Winter I meet with potential clients, Spring is engagement sessions, Summer and Fall are all about wedding photography. But there’s always these transition times when I’m doing a lot of each! In the past 2 weeks I’ve shot 3 engagement sessions and 4 weddings everywhere from Dolphin Bay Resort in Shell Beach to Mayacama Resort in Santa Rosa (and a lot in between).
This engagement session was with Sean and Sandy, a wonderful couple who’s gorgeous Vintner’s Inn wedding will be later this fall. We decided to mix things up and do a morning shoot so if the light looks like it’s coming from the wrong direction that’s why

Laura and Nick rocked Mid-town Sacramento then we did a little night photography around the less well-known parts of Old-town, it was great! Awesome couple, can’t wait to photograph their wedding later this summer!

As the wedding season is heating up, engagement sessions are in full swing so you know I’m happy as I love a good engagement session!. Annabelle and Vinnie are a great couple who were totally devoted to getting great images. They are completely in love and so easy going, they were such a pleasure to get to know! San Luis Obispo engagement sessions are so great because we have everything from completely rural to modern architecture and just about everything in-between! I love shooting in San Francisco and other great cities but there’s a reason why I can SLO my home.

James and Sarah pretty much have a great time at all times; I think they could be standing in line a the DMV and they would both have huge smiles on their faces and be laughing and getting others to have a great time. I love being around people who’s fun is so infectious!

The wildflowers this year are better than I can ever remember them, truly stunning. If you haven’t been down to SLO lately you probably have about 2-3 more weeks before they are gone.

We got owned by Facebook!
I met up with Tim and Kathryn in Palo Alto at the Facebook office for their engagement shoot, only for us to all discover that Facebook took down their sign so we didn’t have anything to shoot! I’m betting that so many people want pictures in front of the sign that the neighbors complained. Oh, well, we still had a great time shooting around San Francisco.
Tim races bikes (as do I) and Kathryn runs marathons so we all had a lot in common and good times were had. I do think that Kathryn may have gotten sick of Tim and I talking bikes, sorry Kathryn!
I’m really looking forward to their San Francisco wedding later this summer; great location at the Hamlin Mansion and awesome couple, what more could I ask for?

The Knot named me as a “Best of Weddings” photographer, I’m pretty excited! Funny thing is that I had no idea until one of my brides mentioned it to me. It’s done through feedback from past clients so I’m really honored that my clients feel that I lived up to their expectations and even exceeded them.
