Big announcement and an awesome wedding!
Lots going on, the largest of which is our upcoming relocation to Bend, Oregon! A move has been a long time coming and we had been considering traveling around for a year or so seeing the country and finding somewhere to settle but after spending 10 days in the same room with our kids we decided that might not be such a good idea 🙂 A subsequent trip to Nor Cal then Ashland and Bend made us remember just how awesome of a place Bend is so we decided to throw caution to the wind and go for it. Both Stephanie and I had been there years ago and while there we just felt like it was a perfect fit for us. There’s so much fun stuff to do; biking, hiking, skiing, non-stop kids events, concerts, 16 mico-breweries (8 more are opening in the next few months), kayaking, fishing, rock climbing… this list goes on and on! Seeing as I travel most of the time for my photography why not live somewhere that’s pretty amazing? We love SLO and will deeply miss all our wonderful friends though, that’s going to be hard. But we are truly lucky to have the kind of jobs that allow us to live wherever so off we go on life’s great adventure!
The past few months have been packed full of commercial and advertising photography jobs, one after the next. I had a HUGE job shooting approximately 2,000 items for Cal Poly’s University Store online catalog, multiple portrait sessions for wineries and several weddings. All this while searching for a home out of state and trying to make time for family. It’s been exhausting but we’re excited (so are the kids, they just want to play in the snow). I just started a stretch of great weddings all over California that I’m really looking forward to. The first of which was Anita and Dave’s wedding last week at a country club in Camarillo. It was a beautiful, albeit a bit muggy, day with gorgeous clouds and ever changing gorgeous lighting that was challenging but ever so fun! Check out some images from an awesome couple’s beautiful day.
