Jacqueline and Ted are an awesome couple!
I truly have a great time at every wedding I photograph but some stand out as exceptional; this was one of the exceptional ones. A madly in love couple who are the most welcoming and warm people you could ever imagine, they have wonderful friends and family and had a gorgeous venue and decor! Yeah, so the weather kind of stunk and it even started raining but that totally didn’t slow them down dampen the mood whatsoever. Gotta love that. I ended up having way too good of a time and stayed out way past my bed time (I’m getting old like that) so I was kind of a wreck the next day but whatever, totally worth it!
There is always a big difference between wedding photography in the city and out at a forest or barn in the woods. Of course the natural area is different but it’s also in how the timing of the event and the logistics of what’s needed out of your wedding photographer change. I love that by living in a beautiful mountain area like Bend, Oregon, I get to live the mountain lifestyle but still enjoy being a photographer that gets to travel and shoot in the city. Having backdrops like Mt. Bachelor, Broken Top, Smith Rock and the High Desert surrounding Bend and Central Oregon is awesome but being able to drop over to Portland or direct flights to LA for awesome weddings like this makes it even better.
